Geranium pyrenaicum ‘Bill Wallis’
Height x Spread: 45cm x 60cm
Masses of small, vivid, purple-blue flowers with purple veins stud this popular perennial’s gently spreading, mid-green rounded foliage. Famed for its long-flowering period from late spring to late autumn, it makes a very attractive and effective ground cover, smothering weeds. Â
It is also a notorious self-seeder and may gently wander along the front of your border, or take up residence in your gravel garden or brick path. Â Unwanted seedlings are easily pulled out. Â This dainty but tough plant also looks good planted beneath roses. It will tolerate any soil that is not waterlogged, but prefers a fairly fertile free-draining soil in full sun or part shade.Â
