LIGULARIA Stenocephala

Height x Spread: 100cm x 60cm

Small individual star-shaped yellow flowers cover dark purple stems to form a tall flower spike. Beneath the flower spikes jaggedly serrated triangular lobed leaves form a bushy clump.

An Asian native that thrives in boggy soils or beside watercourses. A position in partial shade is preferred, L. stenocephala  can tolerate some sun if the soil is very wet. When flowering has finished cut the main spike down.
